The only fear, and the origin of all 'other' fears is the fear of death. If it is believed that the brain creates consciousness, the decomposition of the body means the destruction of consciousness. Social anxiety has its roots in the fear of death because "if others don't like me, they'll leave me behind to die", our prehistoric mind says. If one knew that they could not die, they would live with a radical degree of freedom. If one were a shapeshifter and could become any person at any time, they would surely live in all the ways that we see people live today, just to experience them.
Humanity has survived up until a point where we can observe our own psychological processes which govern survival, and realise that everything is profoundly ok. Notice how every worry depends on believing very a specific belief: 'I am limited to the body'. The demolition of the building need not worry the space of the room.
